Public Goods Network was an L2 inspired by a community roots-based approach to building in web3. Championed by Kyle Weiss of Gitcoin, PGN grew to house a number of exciting projects during the L2 boom of the early 2020s. PGN design was inspired by meditation and the passion of hustle culture.

Brand System
The brand system is intentionally light by dark: led by neutrals with an accent green.

Type scale
Core type is a set of boilerplate fonts that are friendly, functional, reliable, technical yet inclusive. The fonts selected for our core type stack are open source for widely available use.

Logos
To support a flexible brand, a simple collection of logos were created: one wordmark, two icons, and one stamp. The stamp quickly became a team favorite.

PhotographyThe use of photography in the brand was intentional, and stemmed from one ongoing conversation internally: How do we build web3 for people? The crypto space can be so saturated in details that we often felt like we were forgetting the people we were serving. Using photography from the Library of Congress gave us a touchpoint to the past, grounding us in the new and exciting present.

ApparelObviously a litte nod to Barbara Kruger with the stamp. We wanted shirts to have an approachable streetwear vibe, designed to be worn oversized.
